Two DDTC Professionals Awarded LL.M. in International Tax Law
VIENNA, DDTCNews - Two DDTC professionals have officially been awarded the LL.M. degree in international tax law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). They are Senior Specialist of DDTC Consulting, Dawud Abdul Qohhar Lubis and Specialist of DDTC Fiscal Research & Advisory, Abiyoga Sidhi Wiyanto.
The Graduation Ceremony was held at the Purple Hall of the Bundesministerium für Finanzen (Ministry of Finance) of the Republic of Austria, marking the conclusion of a 10-month master's (postgraduate) study programme in Vienna.
Taxation of Services was the theme chosen for this year's theses. Dawud Abdul Qohar Lubis selected the topic Digital Services Taxes - Contingency Plans for the Failure of Pillar One Amount A. Meanwhile, Abiyoga Sidhi Wiyanto chose the topic Current Developments in the International Taxation of Services: A Market Jurisdiction’s Perspectives.
This study embodies DDTC's commitment to enhancing the competence of its professionals through the DDTC Human Resources Development Programme (HRDP). This annual programme routinely facilitates DDTC professionals in attending seminars through to postgraduate studies at renowned universities both domestically and overseas.
Dawud expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to study at WU Vienna, Austria. He hopes that all the knowledge gained during his studies will complement his capacity as one of DDTC's professionals.
“I would like to extend my sincere thank you to the entire DDTC family, in particular to Mr Darussalam and Mr Danny Septriadi for having given me the opportunity to continue learning,” he said on Monday (15/6/2026).
Dawud also hopes that the knowledge and experience he gained during his studies in Austria will render a positive contribution and support the achievement of DDTC's vision and mission as well as the advancement of taxation in Indonesia.
On the other hand, Abiyoga also expressed his gratitude to DDTC for the opportunity afforded to him. In his view, tax law is an extremely dynamic field of study. As such, everyone involved in the world of taxation must continually keep abreast of developments.
“This study journey has been an extraordinary life experience for me as a DDTC professional. Armed with the knowledge I have acquired, I hope to continue to advance alongside DDTC and to contribute more meaningfully to the tax system in Indonesia,’’ he remarked.

The event was opened with remarks by the Director General of Tax Policy and Tax Law of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria, Prof. DDr. Gunter Mayr—who on this occasion also served as Steering Committee member—and Prof. Michael Lang as the Academic Director of the LL.M. in International Tax Law, Vienna University of Economics and Business.
The event continued with the Awarding Ceremony, presided over directly by Prof. Lang, followed by the conferral of diplomas upon graduates from various parts of the world.
This year's graduating class saw WU Vienna graduate 29 students from the United States, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Germany, Malta, Mexico, Panama, France, Peru, Portugal, Spain and Taiwan. (rig)
