JAKARTA, DDTCNews - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has imposed restrictions or blocking of certain public services for Taxpayers who have not settled their tax debts to the state treasury.
Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said the authority has recommended blocking via the automatic blocking system mechanism against access to the legal entity administration system and customs services.
"The automatic blocking system has begun to be implemented in accordance with PER-27/PJ/2025. There have already been several blockings of customs access and blockings of the legal entity administration system against Taxpayers who meet the criteria for blocking," he said at the APBN Kita press conference, Tuesday (5/5/2026).
Bimo explained that restrictions or blocking of public services may be carried out where a Taxpayer meets 2 criteria.
First, the Taxpayer has a tax debt that has obtained final and binding legal force (inkracht) of at least Rp100 million. Second, an enforcement letter has been issued to the tax debtor in respect of that tax debt.
"This means [those who are blocked] have a tax debt of Rp100 million or more, and the enforcement letter has been served on the Taxpayer but has been disregarded," Bimo emphasised.
For information, DJP may issue recommendations and/or submit applications for the restriction or blocking of certain public services as part of tax collection proceedings against a tax obligor who has not settled their tax debt and tax collection costs.
The procedures for submitting such restrictions or blockings are governed by Director General of Taxes Regulation Number: PER-27/PJ/2025. The restrictions or blockings of certain public services include:
In addition, DJP also has the authority to apply for the lifting of restrictions or blockings. One of the conditions for lifting is that the Taxpayer has settled all outstanding tax debts and tax collection costs. (sap)
